Sibanye Stillwater Learnership Programme 2021

Sibanye Stillwater is offering two Learnership Programmes for prospective applicants.  These Learnership Programmes will take the form of an Instrumentation Mechanician Learnership and an Electrician Learnership. 

The learnership programs will be based at the Beatrix Academy in the Free State, and will serve to provide the necessary training in order to succeed in the above-mentioned disciplines. 

Candidates for the Sibanye Learnership Programmes are required to meet the relevant entry requirements in order to be considered for placement in the programmes. 

Their applications must be fully completed and submitted with the requested supporting documentation. 

Deadline 

Please note that applications for the Sibanye Stillwater Learnership Programmes will close on the 13 of July 2021.  Applications received after the closing date will not be considered for the Programmes.

Location 

The Sibanye Stillwater Learnership Programmes will be held at the Beatrix Academy in the Free State.

About the Sibanye Stillwater Learnership Programmes 

The Sibanye Stillwater Learnership Programmes will provide prospective applicants with the training to pursue careers as an Instrumentation Mechanician or an electrician. 

Candidates for the Sibanye Learnership Programmes are required to meet the relevant entry requirements in order to be considered for placement in the programs. 

Their applications must be fully completed and submitted with the requested supporting documentation. 

Requirements 

Kindly note that prospective applicants need to satisfy all the requirements of the Sibanye Stillwater Learnership Programme in order for their application to be considered. 

Electrical Learnership 

Prospective applicants for the Sibanye Stillwater Electrical Learnership Programme are required to:

  • Have passed the relevant qualification subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics and Electrical Trade Theory.
  • Have obtained the minimum N2 qualifications.
  • Be recommended for the programme as a result of the interview.
  • Achieve a psychometric evaluation score of at least 4.
  • Obtain the relevant Protection Services certificate.
  • Be declared medically fit for the Learnership Programme after a medical examination at the Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre. 

Instrumentation Mechanician 

Prospective applicants for the Sibanye Stillwater Instrumentation Mechanician Programme are required to:

  • Have passed the relevant qualification subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics and Instrument Trade Theory.
  • Have obtained the minimum N2 qualifications.
  • Be recommended for the programme as a result of the interview.
  • Achieve a psychometric evaluation score of at least 4.
  • Obtain the relevant Protection Services certificate.
  • Be declared medically fit for the Learnership Programme after a medical examination at the Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.

  • Submit their record of service.
  • Submit a fully completed CV.
  • Submit a certified copy of their ID card/document. 
  • Submit a certified copy of their N2 certificates. 

Kindly note that applications will not be open to applicants who have obtained a Section 28 or a Section 26d Trade Certificate.  Applicants who have failed to accurately complete their application will not be considered for the Learnership Programmes.
