Fasset has been established by the South African Government along with 21 Seta programs to enhance the amount of skilled workers in all sectors. The Finance and Accounting Service Sector Education and Training Authority is known as Fasset. They assist in providing learners with hands-on knowledge of their career choice and provides them with vital skills to succeed in the work market. Fasset Learnerships are mainly aimed at the HR and Business management sector.

Fasset learnerships places selected candidates with employers in their sector. Most of their learnership fields are also related to specific fields as listed below.

Most of the learnerships provided by Fasset is for a 12-month duration unless stipulated otherwise. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend and travel money as set out on a standard schedule.

Fasset Learnerships Requirements

Fasset learnership requirements will be different for many of the fields. We have compiled a list of the basic requirements that you will need to be able to apply for a learnership with this institute. The Fasset learnership program requires candidates to sign an agreement/application for the learnership which must also have a witness signature and accompany all relevant documentation. This program is only made available to black South Africans so it is in-line with their strategic objectives.

Basic requirements:

  • All applicants must hold a South African ID document
  • Applicants must be a South African Citizen
  • All applicants must have a valid Grade 12 certificate
  • Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in field of application where needed

Applicants must ensure all documents are certified copies and not their originals that they send with the forms. All forms must be completed in full and signed.

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery offer learnerships, bursaries, and internships, as well as junior land care development programs, skilled training programs and more. With their programs, they aim to educate the youth of South Africa to assist in stabilizing the economy and provide sufficient work for all.

The  Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery is in charge of all sectors referring to agriculture, forestry and fishery in South Africa. It has to certify that all food products are safe for consumption and that there is adequate supply for the demand. It works in close proximity to all sectors under its wings including perishable products, agricultural research, biological products, fisheries, environmental affairs, water affairs and more.

They seek gifted young individuals each year to learn more within their field, to be educated by the best in the business and to grow together, building a stronger nation. Department of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries Learnerships Requirements

Candidates interested in applying for a learnership with this Department once they open will be required to meet all the stipulations as set by the Department. This Department upholds the equity principals as set by Government and offers equal opportunities to all. Candidates may be required to submit their age, race, and gender, along with any disabilities.

Candidates must also have the following:

  • A valid Grade 12 / Martic certification
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years of age
  • You must not have partaken in any other learnership prior to this application
  • Must hold a diploma or degree in the relevant field (where applicable)
  • Proof of residence

Candidates must submit a curriculum vitae with up-to-date contact details and all relevant information. Candidates must also submit a motivational letter and provide references. Candidates must complete the application in full and ensure it is signed.

Please do not submit your original certificates, but only certified copies as documentation will not be returned. Applications that are received after the advertised closing date, are missing documentation or is not signed, will not be taken into consideration.
